Configuration

Runtime environment variables and CLI flags exposed by the current server entrypoint.

Environment Variables

REDIS_PORT

  • Default: 6379
  • Controls the RESP TCP listener port

HTTP_PORT

  • Default: 8080
  • Controls the HTTP listener port

BIND_HOST

  • Default: 127.0.0.1
  • Parsed as an IPv4 address
  • Invalid values fall back to 127.0.0.1

For containers, set this to 0.0.0.0.

SNAPSHOT_PATH

  • Optional in configuration
  • If omitted, the server creates an OS temp directory named like chabi-<timestamp>
  • Snapshot persistence is therefore effectively enabled by default unless temp directory creation fails

SNAPSHOT_INTERVAL_SECS

  • Default: 60
  • Used when --snapshot-interval-secs is left at its default value

CLI Flags

The current binary exposes:

chabi-server --help

Important flags:

  • --debug
  • --snapshot_path <PATH>
  • --snapshot_interval_secs <SECONDS>

CLI args override environment variables for snapshot configuration.

HTTP_PORT=8080 \

HTTP_PORT=8080
SNAPSHOT_PATH=/data
SNAPSHOT_INTERVAL_SECS=60
